Carpenter bees or Bumble bees

Carpenter Bees

Carpenter bees become a big problem in the spring of the year. Carpenter bees look like bumble bees but do not have the yellow hair on the abdomen or the bottom of the bee. They are all black on the abdomen. The bees love to bore into unpainted wood along the roof line and can be a nightmare for home inspectors and termite inspectors.  The females do all the work and can sting but the males are the one you see buzzing around and you.  If you see carpenter bees around your home give us a call at 704-545-2847.
